We can use decimals to measure the length of the object.

Kilometre\((km)\), Metre\((m)\), Centimetre\((cm)\) and Millimetre\((mm)\) are the measurements used to measure length.
1m=11000km=0.001km1cm=1100m=0.01m1mm=110cm=0.1cm
Example:
1. Convert \(7\) \(m\) to \(km\).

1m=11000km7m=71000km=0.007km

Therefore, \(7\) \(m\) \(=\) \(0.007\) \(km\).

2. Convert \(56\) \(mm\) to \(cm\)

1mm=110cm56mm=5610cm=5.6cm

Therefore, \(56\) \(mm\) \(=\) \(5.6\) \(cm\).
